Each year on this global day of generosity, the Adelphi community joins together to create a brighter future for our community and beyond.
On December 2, 2025, our Panther community united to support some of our very worthy causes.
Together, we set a new GivingTuesday record, raising more than $220,000 as we spread the #Give4Adelphi word across campus and throughout the world.
In response to recent events, Interim President Chris Storm and his family kicked off GivingTuesday by personally matching $14,000 in gifts to the Student Emergency Support Fund. This fund provides direct financial assistance to students experiencing unforeseen financial hardship that could interrupt their education. Every dollar raised will be doubled to strengthen this safety net and help students like those impacted by the delays in the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Hurricane Melissa meet their basic needs and stay on track to graduate.

- 鈥淚 have been a volunteer for the Adelphi New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program for over 3 decades. Not a day goes by that the Adelphi staff and volunteers don鈥檛 work tirelessly to help all men and women dealing with breast cancer. They are so committed to providing the best resources and services for breast cancer.鈥�
- 鈥淚 would like to pay tribute to Kim Newman, Marketing Director and Communications Specialist for the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program. Kim is an 鈥榰nsung hero鈥� whose behind-the-scenes work for the program has been second to none and quite impactful. Her selfless nature, drive and dedication to the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program are an inspiration to everyone at the program and in the community. Thank you, Kim, for your outstanding contributions.鈥�

- 鈥淚 used my GI Bill after serving in the US Air Force in Vietnam (1968鈥�1972). I earned my BBA from Baruch in the CUNY system and later completed my MBA at Adelphi. It was a great place to learn鈥攕o flexible that I finished my degree in just two years. My granddaughter attended Adelphi, and my grandniece is there now, both in the Speech Pathology program. I return often for Veterans events. I love AU. Go Panthers!鈥�

- 鈥淚 know the Lord blesses me so I can help others.鈥�

- 鈥淎s an undergraduate student, I received an Adelphi scholarship that really helped me through my four years. I am glad to be able to help other students now.鈥�
