Hand sanitizer should be used if soap and water are not readily available<\/li>\n<li><strong>Avoid touching your face<\/strong> with unwashed hands \u2013 including your eyes, nose, and mouth<\/li>\n<li><strong>Avoid close contact with people<\/strong> and do not shake hands<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cover all coughs and sneezes<\/strong>, preferably with a tissue that can be discarded in a closed container after use. In absence of a tissue, use your sleeve or elbow<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clean frequently touched surfaces <\/strong>and objects including buttons, door handles, counters, workstations, keyboards, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>If You Are Sick<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Stay home. Do not go to work, class, or visit with people if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive. The New York State Department of Health <a href=\"https:\/\/coronavirus.health.ny.gov\/isolation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">requires isolation<\/a> for anyone who tests positive for COVID-19.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Follow up with your physician in cases of severe illness or if you are at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/your-health\/understanding-risk.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">high risk for severe illness<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Alert University Health Services and get guidance on your next steps for returning to work\/class.
