To take part, apply during the spring semester of your sophomore or junior year. Seminars will cover important topics such as Ethics, Data Analysis, Sampling, Working with Secondary Data Sets, Integration of Science and Psychological Research, and Pursuing a Graduate Career in Psychology<\/li>\n<li>Students must register for an independent study for one year (minimum 6 credits)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Students receive support for costs incurred to implement the research project, to defray the cost of attending professional conferences, and for other activities and materials related to participation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The yearlong Emerging Scholars Program offers qualified psychology majors an exceptional opportunity to conduct original research\u2014it\u2019s an ideal avenue for intellectually curious students.
