Hailed by the New Yorker as 鈥渇unny and touching, ceaselessly clever and scarily talented鈥

is proud to present the acclaimed singer-songwriter with her music showcasing different genres, from jazz to rap and disco to funk. The concert will take place on Friday, February 12, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. on the Westermann Stage of the Concert Hall at 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY. 听

Ms. McKay frequently performs on NPR鈥檚 Mountain Stage and on Garrison Keillor鈥檚 A Prairie Home Companion. Her songs have been featured on numerous TV shows, including Mad Men, Weeds, Grey鈥檚 Anatomy, NCIS and Boardwalk Empire. She also wrote the original music for the Rob Reiner film Rumor Has It and the Emmy-winning documentary Gasland. Ms. McKay鈥檚 most recent recording, 鈥淢y Weekly Reader鈥, is a collection of classic pop tunes from the 1960s, which the New York Times calls 鈥渁 tour de force from a sly, articulate musician who sounds comfortable in any era.鈥 The range of material is wide鈥攆rom the Beatles鈥 If I Fell to Frank Zappa鈥檚 Hungry Freaks, Daddy.

In addition to recording six full-length albums, Ms. McKay has also won a Theatre World Award for her portrayal of Polly Peachum in the Broadway production of The Threepenny Opera and performed onscreen in the films PS I Love You and Downtown Express. She recently completed an extended run in the award-winning off-Broadway hit Old Hats.
