After 26 years of service to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, Assistant Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation Robert E. Hartwell has announced his retirement effective July 31, 2013. Mr. Hartwell’s long tenure was highlighted by NCAA championships, an overhaul of campus athletic facilities, the addition of new teams and a move to the Northeast-10 Conference and bringing the Cans for Cancer program to Adelphi, raising more than $50,000 toward Winthrop-University Medical Center’s Cancer Center for Kids.
