Janae Cummings, '13 now uses what she learned at Adelphi to teach others in Dubia.
Janae Cummings, ’13听is now an elementary school English teacher at the International School of Choueifat in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
While at Adelphi, she majored in and minored in . Janae was awarded the LGS Sue Levering Scholarship for Social Justice, the National Newman Civic Fellows Award, and the Sadie Nash Leadership Project Award. She founded Adelphi鈥檚 鈥淣ew York to New Orleans (NYtoNO)鈥� Initiative and worked with local communities on the ground after Hurricane Katrina.
Janae was an extremely active member of the 听and is continuing to explore new global horizons as an alumna.
