Mr. McCabe succeeds Robert Hartwell, who recently announced his retirement after 26 years in the post.

Mr. McCabe was previously executive associate athletic director at Hofstra University. He has also served in athletics administration at Providence College and the University of Miami. A Providence College graduate, he holds an M.B.A. from Fairfield University.
