天美传媒 is pleased to honor Scott R. Treiber, area vice chairman of RPS Treiber Agency, at the 23nd Annual Golf Classic on Monday, October 3, 2011, at Hempstead Golf and Country Club, 60 Front Street, Hempstead, NY.

Mr. Treiber鈥檚 insurance career spans more than 30 years. As area vice chairman of RPS, he has executive oversight and leadership for planning the long-term direction of RPS focused on profitability, long-term growth, and quality service. He helped to build an impressive insurance operation that today ranks among the Top 100 U.S. insurance brokers. Mr. Treiber is part of the Strategic Committee of the company. 聽His expertise is recruiting and mentoring managerial personnel for growth, including several current RPS Treiber Agency managers.

Mr. Treiber is licensed in property, casualty, and life insurance in 46 states and has earned his CIC designation.聽 He serves on agency councils for such groups as AIG, Cigna, St. Paul Travelers, Kemper, and The Merchants Group.聽 He is a founding member of the Long Island Insurance Community benefiting the United Way, and for the past eight years, a member of the Council of Agents and Brokers.

An articulate communicator and public speaker, Mr. Treiber has published 鈥淐ritical Board Role Defined,鈥 in聽Alliance for Children & Families Magazine聽(Winter 2004) and 鈥淔ocus for the Future: Finding Competitive Niches,鈥 in聽Insurance Advocate聽(March 2003).

Following a long family tradition of giving back to the community, Mr. Treiber provides active leadership in numerous charitable organizations, including Family and Children鈥檚 Association, Ducks Unlimited, and Christ Episcopal Church Oyster Bay. He enjoys golf, skiing, hunting, and fishing and lives in Oyster Bay with wife Jo-Ellen and four sons, Thomas, William, Matthew, and James.

Shotguns are scheduled at 7:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit student athletic scholarships. Last year鈥檚 event raised $100,000 in scholarship support.

Co-chairs of the event are John P. Finnerty M.S. 鈥77 of WJM Associates, Inc. and Stephen M. Wirth 鈥70 of the New York Sports and Physical Therapy Institute.
