Thomas Dixon Lovely ’54, ’04 (Hon.) and Erna Fritz Lovely, M.A. ’65

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ deeply mourns the passing of alumnus and Trustee Emeritus Thomas Dixon Lovely ’54, ’04 (Hon.). A generous benefactor to Adelphi, he was an important adviser to six of its presidents and served for 15 years as vice chairman of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ . He was a founding governor and leader of Adelphi’s School of Banking and Money Management—the predecessor to its . A widely respected leader in banking and public education, he set a wonderful example for fellow Adelphi alumni. Together with his wife, Erna Fritz Lovely, M.A. ’65, he made a lasting difference at his alma mater, in his industry and in the Long Island region. He will be greatly missed by the Adelphi community, and his legacy will live on in the lives of students who continue to benefit from his generosity.
