DACA Deminstrators
With immigration issues continuing to dominate national and international politics, the Adelphi library has added to the extensive materials on its site by launching a new blog devoted to stories of immigration by members of the Adelphi community.

The first entry in is by Brian Lym, dean of University Libraries. Brian’s paternal great-grandfather came from China in 1855 as a boy, and actually worked on the transcontinental railroad. His maternal great-grandparents immigrated to Hawaii at the turn of the 20th century to work on sugar plantations. Read about them, and be sure to take the opportunity to explore the immigration research site. It’s filled with links to news articles, academic articles, books, legal information and other valuable resources on immigration. 鈥淐ommon Threads” is a joint project of the 天美传媒 Libraries and the 天美传媒 DACA, International & Immigration Task Force.
