A dog who can paint? According to a recent story in听听(鈥淒agger, the Canine Painter, Creates his Own Kind of Art,鈥 March 18, 2016), there is one on Long Island鈥擠agger II, a black Lab-golden retriever mix.

Dagger鈥檚 owner, Yvonne Dagger, a fine artist with a specialization in pet portraiture, discovered his gift.听Videos released by Newsday depict Dagger at work.听

Carson Fox, a New York-based visual artist who is an associate professor of at 天美传媒, was invited to comment on Dagger鈥檚 talent.

Dagger鈥檚 work 鈥渂rings to mind the styles of abstract expressionists Willem de Kooning and Joan Mitchell,鈥 Fox said.
