Farmingdale State College and ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ have launched a streamlined partnership to expand student success. Farmingdale students can now access articulated pathways to continue their graduate studies at Adelphi in four master’s degree programs: Business Analytics, Computer Science, General Psychology (with a human resource management concentration) and Sport Management (offering both in-person and online options).

In 2007, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ launched Bridges to Adelphi, an award-winning program that helps students on the autism spectrum or who have nonverbal learning disabilities transition to college life and succeed academically and socially.

In January 2020 and January 2019, undergraduate students taking the Intersession International Business course with Pamela Buckle, PhD, MA ’13, professor of management, and Joseph Sheldrick, MBA ’97, adjunct faculty in decision sciences, were treated to a unique experiential learning and cultural immersion opportunity focused on China. 

With opportunities for traditional gap year activities such as traveling and volunteering limited due to the pandemic, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s virtual Gap Year Experience offers college students the opportunity to work remotely, in small groups, developing projects for companies in their chosen field. Participants in the program can earn college credits or certification.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology will offer a certificate program in trauma treatment for licensed and certified mental health professionals. The new program will provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to serve traumatized individuals and communities.
