This ensures students have consistent access to healthcare during their studies.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"683\">University-Sponsored Health Insurance Plan<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"684\" data-end=\"922\">天美传媒 offers a student health insurance plan through United Healthcare, administered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallagherstudent.com\/adelphi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gallagher Student Health &amp; Special Risk<\/a>. The plan meets state and federal requirements and is designed to protect students\u2019 health and well-being.<\/p>\n<p>This plan is designed to meet the insurance requirements for residential and international students, offering benefits that align with ACA standards, including customer protection, underwriting guidelines, and state approval by the Division of Insurance. These standards are recognized as best practices among peer institutions of higher education.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"1072\">All residential and international students are automatically enrolled unless they successfully submit a waiver by the deadline.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1157\"><a href=\"https:\/\/aui.adelphi.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">天美传媒 International (AUI)<\/a> students must enroll and cannot waive this coverage.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1157\">Domestic students who do not live in 天美传媒 residence halls are not eligible to enroll in the university\u2019s student health insurance plan for the 2025\u20132026 academic year.<\/li>\n<li>Any student not eligible for the university\u2019s student health insurance plan can learn about other options provided through<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nystateofhealth.ny.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York State<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Get a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallagherstudent.com\/adelphi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brief overview of the health insurance policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>2025-2026 Health Insurance Plan Details<\/h2>\n<h3>Coverage Period<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1546\"><strong data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1510\">Annual Plan<\/strong>: August 10, 2025 \u2013 August 9, 2026<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1549\" data-end=\"1670\"><strong data-start=\"1549\" data-end=\"1569\">Spring-Only Plan<\/strong> (for students entering Adelphi for the first time in the spring): January 1, 2026 \u2013 August 9, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1672\" data-end=\"1692\">Insurance Fees<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Fees for the 2025\u20132026 academic year school insurance are $2,090.<\/strong> Students will be billed in the fall semester, with the remaining amount billed in the spring semester. Once enrolled in the fall, resident and international students are automatically enrolled into the spring semester and billed for the remaining fee unless they withdraw or graduate from the University.<\/p>\n<p>Fees for students entering 天美传媒 for the first time in the spring semester will also be announced before the start of the spring billing cycle.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insurance fees are billed directly to the student\u2019s tuition statement and are listed as \u201cHealth Insurance Plan\u201d. These add-ons provide students with discounted rates on dental and vision care services.<\/p>\n<h2>Waiving Adelphi\u2019s Health Insurance<\/h2>\n<p>You may elect to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallagherstudent.com\/adelphi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">waive the school insurance<\/a> if you have comparable coverage that is active. All students must provide proof of their coverage when requesting a waiver. <span>You will need your\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/it-services\/login\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">天美传媒 student username and password<\/a><span> to access the waiver form starting on July 2, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Waiver Deadlines<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2014\" data-end=\"2133\">Students with comparable coverage can request a waiver, but must submit proof of coverage by the following deadlines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2136\" data-end=\"2184\"><strong data-start=\"2136\" data-end=\"2165\">Fall 2025<\/strong>: October 1, 2025<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2187\" data-end=\"2235\"><strong data-start=\"2187\" data-end=\"2218\">Spring 2026<\/strong>: March 1, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2237\" data-end=\"2272\"><strong>No late waivers will be accepted.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you waive the plan in the fall and continue in the spring, you do not need to submit a new waiver.<\/p>\n<p>If you enroll in the spring for the first time, you must waive separately by the March 1 deadline.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2237\" data-end=\"2272\">Minimum Waiver Requirements (Residential and International Students)<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2349\" data-end=\"2405\">To waive the Adelphi plan, your health insurance must meet all ACA guidelines, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2450\" data-end=\"2474\">Unlimited plan maximum<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2479\" data-end=\"2534\">Minimum coverage: 80% in-network \/ 60% out-of-network<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2539\" data-end=\"2598\">Medical Evacuation: $50,000 (International Students only)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2603\" data-end=\"2667\">Repatriation of Remains: $25,000 (International Students only)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2672\" data-end=\"2771\">Active coverage for the entire term (<span>International Students only: <\/span>Fall: August 10 \u2013 December 31; Spring: January 1 \u2013 August 9)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2773\" data-end=\"2849\">If your policy does not meet these requirements, your waiver will be denied.<\/p>\n<h3>What You\u2019ll Need to Waive<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"473\" data-end=\"587\">Before you start the waiver process, gather the following information:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li data-start=\"590\" data-end=\"688\">Your current insurance card (front and back) \u2014 the card must have the insurance ID number on it.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"724\">Your Adelphi student ID number (Not sure of your ID? You can <a href=\"https:\/\/class.adelphi.edu\/account_tools\/id.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">look up your Adelphi ID<\/a>.)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"727\" data-end=\"839\">An email address that you will monitor for communications from the insurance company about your waiver status.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"842\" data-end=\"985\"><strong data-start=\"842\" data-end=\"873\">International students only<\/strong>: A copy of your actual policy documents to upload to the waiver site.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-start=\"987\" data-end=\"1167\"><em>Be sure to double-check all information\u2014especially your policy number and phone number\u2014before submitting. Accurate information is essential for your waiver to be approved.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2773\" data-end=\"2849\">After Submitting a Waiver<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2875\" data-end=\"2978\">Students must retain a copy of their waiver submission confirmation. It is the student\u2019s responsibility to provide proof of waiver submission if there\u2019s an issue.
